Who is eligible to enter this prize draw?
2. This promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
3. Entrants must have internet access and a valid Instagram account
4. This promotion is not open to any employees of the Promoter, any subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, their immediate family or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
What is the closing date?
5. The promotion is open from 09:00 GMT on 15/01/2025 to 23:59 GMT on 19/01/2025 the “Promotion Period”).
How do I enter?
6. To enter entrants must:

7. No purchase or payment is required, however internet access and a valid Instagram account are required.
Entry Requirements
8. The promotion is limited to one entry per person.
9. Any use by entrants of multiple identities or identities other than their own to enter this Promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether an entrant has already submitted an entry and to disqualify any subsequent entries or prize entitlement.
10. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer, including by Artificial Intelligence, will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
11. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
12. Each entry:
a. must be suitable for display and publication online and should not be obscene or indecent (including but not limited to nudity, pornography or profanity), it must not contain defamatory statements or words or symbols that are offensive either generally or to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group. It must not include threats to any person, place, business or group, it must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and it must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards;
b. must not contain or refer to any products other than those of the Promoter and it must not contain or reference any third party trade marks or logos (other than those of Promoter unless such inclusion is merely incidental and is not unduly prominent and as long as it is included with due cause and in such a way that it does not take unfair advantage of any third party trade marks; and
c. must be the entrant’s own work and must not contain any copyright protected works (other than as owned by the entrant). It must not contain or be generated by Artificial Intelligence.
13. If you submit an entry that includes material the rights in which are owned by a third party, including intellectual property rights such as copyright and trade marks, you will be responsible for any legal action that party may take against you.
14. Entries received in connection with this promotion may be reviewed by the Promoter or a third party moderator after they have been placed online to confirm they comply with these terms and conditions. If any such entries are or could reasonably be construed as being unlawful or contrary to these terms and conditions, we may remove them from Instagram immediately. The Promoter reserves the right to delete or remove any published entries from Instagram at any time without prior notice to entrants.
What is the prize?
15. There is one (1) prize to be won consisting of all the following:

16. No cash alternative available.
17. No transfer or assignment of prizes will be permitted except by the Promoter.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
How will the winner be selected?
19. The winner will be determined by a random draw from all valid entries on or before the closing date using an internet randomiser tool. The first entry drawn at random will win the prize.
20. This draw will be conducted within 10 working days of the end of the Promotion Period.
How will the winner be notified?
21. The winner will be notified by the Promoter replying to the comment and/or direct private message from @remingtonuk to the Instagram account used to enter the promotion within 14 days of the date of the draw.
22. The winner must reply to the notification within 5 days of receiving the notifying comment and/or direct private message, in order to confirm the postal address to which the prize can be sent.
23. Please allow up to 30 days from the date that the postal address details are supplied for delivery of the prize.
24. If no response is obtained within 5 days of receiving the notifying comment and/or direct private message, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner selected in a random draw from the remaining eligible entries. Again, the promotion winner must reply to the notification within 5 days from the notification email date to claim the prize. There will be 3 alternate drawing(s) after which the prize will remain unawarded. The unclaimed prize will not be awarded.

25. The Promoter is the controller for the processing of personal data in connection with the promotion
26. The Promoter will use your email address, name or any other contact details you provide for the promotion for purpose and duration of the promotion. The Promoter will use this information for the sole purpose of contacting you should win the promotion.
27. The winner’s details (the first letter of their Instagram username) may be made available on request by emailing tanya.kabote@eu.spectrumbrands.com, and referencing ‘Shea Moisture and Remington Giveaway’ within 10 weeks of the closing date. If you do not wish such information about you to be made available in the event that you win the competition, please email tanya.kabote@eu.spectrumbrands.com, including the reference ‘Shea Moisture and Remington Giveaway’ before the closing date for entries to the competition. Please note that if the UK Advertising Standards Authority request confirmation that a valid award took place, we may share your details directly with them, as required.
28. Entrants’ personal data collected for the purpose of administering this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by its agents will be handled in accordance with Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at https://uk.remington-europe.com/privacy-policy
General Terms
29. The Promoter is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, mechanically reproduced, mis-delivered, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries, messages or post; unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmission; online failures; hardware software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting or corrupting the promotion in any manner.
30. The Promoter is not responsible for any inaccuracy in the contact details supplied by the entrant that may result in the inability of the Promoter to contact that entrant.
31. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the draw or the prize due to any circumstances that arise beyond the Promoter’s control.
32. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entrant or winner that, in its absolute discretion, could bring Promoter into disrepute.
33. Promoter shall disqualify any entries that have failed to abide by and/or are in breach of these terms and conditions.
34. By entering the promotion, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted Instagram Terms, Instagram Privacy Policy and Instagram API Terms. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries that have failed to abide by and/or are in breach of these aforementioned terms.
35. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Instagram. The information you provide will only be used as stated in these terms and conditions. By entering the promotion, entrants will be deemed to have released Instagram from any and all liability arising from their participation in the promotion or out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the promotion.
36. Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to amend or waive any of these terms and conditions, or suspend or cancel the competition at any stage, in the event of circumstances that are unforeseen or beyond its reasonable control (including suspected or actual fraudulent or misleading practices or other breaches of these terms and conditions).
What laws apply to this promotion?
38. These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
